Walkthrough with

Air Leakage Test

Fresh air in a home is important.  Too much causes excessive heating and cooling costs.  Too little can be a health hazard.  A simple blower door test will measure your home’s infiltration according to national standards and help to indicate indicate when remedial measures may be required.  $135.

HERS® Evaluation

The Home Energy Rating System is a standardized measure of your home’s basic energy efficiency characteristics.  You could think of it as a “fuel mileage” estimate for your home, however it is much more than that.  A certified technician will create a computer model of your home based on a detailed assessment of the mechanical systems, envelope, insulation and infiltration.  The model can be used to estimate the cost savings of various improvements and qualify for special energy related mortgage programs.  Fees are based on the type of home and scope of services.

Thermography

Infrared imaging exposes the “truth behind the walls” in your home.  See insulation deficiencies, construction artifacts and air leaks.  This is the quickest way to pinpoint otherwise invisible heating and air conditioning leaks in your home.  Combine this with a blower door test for best results.
